A short snippet about the bride.
Elya Hunt was born in Edmonton and raised in Northern Alberta, calling Peace River her home for most of her childhood. She has fond memories of hiking the hills and exploring the river bank. Elya attended the University of Alberta and earned her BSc in Psychology, and is currently completing a degree in conservation biology through the ALES Faculty at U of A.
The Groom
A short snippet about the groom.
Ching was born in Fredericton and raised in Cold Lake, Alberta. He has fond memories of days spent at the beach and on the lake. After moving to Edmonton, Ching found a passion for powerlifting, and through the sport, has competed several times and made many friends. He has a love for music and all things tech.
Our Story
Ching and Elya met while both living at Résidence Saint-Jean as first-year students at the University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean. Members of the unofficial Insomniac’s Club, they quickly became fast friends. They began dating in their second year and the rest, as they say, is history. Ching and Elya share a love of music, video games, cats, and the outdoors. They both share a passion for exercise, and can thank the gym for their wonderful friend group! Ching proposed to Elya while they hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc, on the shores of Lac des Chéserys. After over 12 years together, they look forward to spending the rest of their lives as partners and best friends.
